On my way home from church today, as I was about to exit the Metro, a big black lady sitting by the door said to me, “You tryin’ to be sexy?”
I thought of responding, a) “Thanks, but no; God made me this way,” or b) “Nope, this is my ‘it’s raining outside and I don’t really like using an umbrella’ look.”
Instead, I just pretended I didn’t hear her and tried not to act embarrassed. I’m such a wallflower …
that’s when you respond: “TRYING??? i don’t have to try honey, this allll comes naturally”
…then throw in a little wink.
Hahahaha … I’ll try that next time.
